Monitor the state of your network remotely

InterMapper RemoteAccess is an easy-to-install and use network monitor that allows you to view the state of your network wherever you may be although it does require InterMapper installed for full functionality.

It features NetFlow traffic analysis that locates bandwidth hogs (even useful for home users trying to work out who's downloading all the time at home), network maps showing device status and location, and network forensics, device diagnostics and performance trend charts. InterMapper displays geographically live network traffic plus server performance, application response times, outages etc so you can detect a problem easily at any time.

You can set InterMapper RemoteAccess to alert you anytime traffic goes over a certain amount or threshold which it will do via an alarm, e-mail, pager, SMS, text message or even just by executing a script. The program is clearly aimed at high-end business users and networks that employ the services of professional IT administrators although at a pinch, an average user could pick up and learn how to use it without much trouble.

If you're looking for a serious monitoring tool at half the cost you would pay normally, then InterMapper RemoteAccess is worth a look.
